Job description

A teacher of Science, preferably with a specialism in Physics or Biology, is needed for next academic year in beautiful Jeddah Saudi Arabia at our high quality, British curriculum international school. Start date: August 2026

Our school follows the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) curriculum at all levels. We have also implemented a rigorous curriculum to ensure Arabic fluency and conformity with Saudi Ministry of Education Guidelines for Saudi International schools and we are a bilingual school.

We believe in progressive, individualised education. To deliver the curriculum we use the KED (Kunskapsskolan) Program™, which is a progressive Swedish pedagogy, and our teaching methodology puts the students at the centre of the learning. With the guidance of their coach, students work towards becoming self-regulated learners, able to set goals and understand how best to achieve those goals. We aspire to a school culture that is affirming and respectful of individual interests and learning styles.

Salary and package

Salary scale based on teaching experience (0-10 years) 10,500 SAR – 16,000 SAR per month, tax free (appx £25,500 - £39,000 tax free per annum)

Requirements
  • Qualified Secondary Teacher of Science (UK QTS or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years of post-qualification Science teaching experience in a high quality British curriculum school teaching Science (preferably Biology or Physics) to GCSE/A level at secondary level
  • Experienced in modern pedagogical methods including positive discipline, child‑centred, differentiated and individualised learning.
  • A passionate advocate of bilingual and bicultural education
