Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant / Assistant Manager / Manager in the FAAS Financial Services team, you will contribute to Finance Transformation and Accounting Advisory engagements, collaborate and feel shared responsibility as one team, providing coaching and support to junior and senior team members, maintaining communication and updating your team members on progress, help prepare for meetings with our clients, participate in these meetings and assist in preparing reports and schedules for clients and other parties. As a Senior Consultant/Assistant Manager in the FAAS Financial Services team, you will support our clients with broader finance-related matters, including supporting with finance transformations, accounting advisory, and financial and regulatory reporting improvement.

To qualify for the role, you must have
  • You have a master’s degree in accounting, Economics, (quantitative) Finance, business administration or a comparable field;
  • Relevant working experience in the financial services sector and/or with a large consulting firm, gained in the finance (CFO) domain.
  • You bring an innovative mindset, have affinity with and interest in designing and implementing advanced Finance domain practices and the use of AI and other technology to improve ways of working. You are passionate about making things better and do not accept status quo.
  • You possess a strong understanding and have significant experience working with IFRS, through technical advice and implementation within the banking sector, and have experience with a broad range of finance processes.
  • You understand the business model of banks and/or insurance companies, and their risk and regulatory complexities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, towards your team and to clients. You can explain complex topics in an easy and understandable way; and
  • Supervising and coaching junior team members to ensure that they are able to continue developing both professionally and personally.
  • Flexibility to travel across the MENA region
  • Ideally, you also speak and write Arabic.
