Job Purpose
The Sales Representative is responsible for identifying potential customers, generating leads, promoting company products/services, and closing sales to achieve revenue targets. The role focuses on building strong customer relationships, understanding client needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process that supports business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and market visits.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to potential clients.
- Convert leads into successful sales through effective negotiation and communication.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets set by the company.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with existing and new customers.
- Provide excellent customer service by understanding client needs and offering appropriate solutions.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and handle any issues professionally.
- Market Research & Reporting
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
- Submit regular sales reports including visits, leads, and achievements.
- Provide insights to management to support sales strategies and decision‑making.
- Coordination & Administration
- Coordinate with internal departments (logistics, finance, operations) to ensure timely product delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities in CRM or tracking systems.
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and promotional activities when required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred, not mandatory).
- Previous experience as a Sales Representative, Sales Executive, or a similar role.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trust and lasting customer relationships.
- Self‑motivated with a results‑driven approach.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools.
- Valid driving license (if field sales).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
