We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Safety Officer to join our team in Ras Al Khair, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and health of all employees within our heavy industry and metallurgy operations. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards, implementing safety protocols, and fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization. The Safety Officer will work closely with various departments to ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in alignment with industry best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety protocols, emergency response, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with management to develop and review safety performance metrics and objectives.
- Prepare and maintain accurate safety documentation, including reports, records, and safety manuals.
- Promote a culture of safety by engaging employees in safety initiatives and encouraging their participation in safety committees.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of safety budgets and resource allocation for safety-related initiatives.
- Act as a liaison with external regulatory bodies and safety consultants as needed.

- Proven experience as a Safety Officer in a heavy industry or metallurgy environment.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to industrial operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels.
- Ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports for management review.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct training sessions and workshops effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects.

- Fluency in both English and Arabic is an advantage.
