Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Safety Officer to join our team in Ras Al Khair, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and health of all employees within our heavy industry and metallurgy operations. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards, implementing safety protocols, and fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization. The Safety Officer will work closely with various departments to ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations and standards.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  2. Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in alignment with industry best practices.
  3. Provide training and guidance to employees on safety protocols, emergency response, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  4. Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  5. Collaborate with management to develop and review safety performance metrics and objectives.
  6. Prepare and maintain accurate safety documentation, including reports, records, and safety manuals.
  7. Promote a culture of safety by engaging employees in safety initiatives and encouraging their participation in safety committees.
  8. Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  9. Assist in the preparation of safety budgets and resource allocation for safety-related initiatives.
  10. Act as a liaison with external regulatory bodies and safety consultants as needed.
