Position

Safety Management Coordinator – DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH Branch Office, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, and oversight of safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations, and promote a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organization.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Monitor workplace environments to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits; identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Participate in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses; document findings and implement corrective measures.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, training, and inspections.
  • Coordinate and deliver safety training programs, toolbox talks, and orientations for new hires and contractors.
  • Support the development of emergency response plans and conduct drills.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure safety considerations are integrated into daily operations and project planning.
  • Analyze safety data and prepare reports for management review.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry best practices, regulations, and innovations in workplace safety.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Additional safety professional certification is an advantage.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in the railway industry is an advantage.
  • Experience in safety related matters.
  • Strong crisis decision-making and situational awareness.
  • Familiarity with multi-agency services (e.g., Civil Defence, Police, Health Services).
  • GCC experience is advantageous.
  • Fluent in both Arabic (preferred) & English language. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, are essential to success in this role.
  • Good command in MS Office Applications, MS Teams, MS Office Suite and Share Point Online.
  • Driving license required to receive / deliver submissions from / to the client’s office and other locations.
