Job Summary

The RT / RPP / MT Technician is responsible for performing Radiographic Testing (RT), Real-Time Radiography / Radiography Permanent Process (RPP), and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) activities on welded joints and materials. The role requires setting up and calibrating NDT equipment, conducting inspections, interpreting and evaluating results, and preparing inspection reports in compliance with approved procedures, international codes, and client requirements, including Saudi Aramco standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate RT, RPP, and MT NDT equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Conduct NDT inspections on welds, materials, and components as per job requirements.
  • Interpret, evaluate, and document test results in line with procedures approved by NDT Level III.
  • Identify welding defects such as cracks, porosity, inclusions, lack of fusion, and surface discontinuities.
  • Ensure inspection activities comply with international codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, API, ISO).
  • Prepare and submit accurate NDT reports, logs, and inspection documentation.
  • Organize test results and coordinate with QA/QC, construction, and client teams.
  • Ensure safe handling of NDT equipment and compliance with HSE requirements.
  • Understand and work within the scope and limitations of the certification held.
Qualifications
  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, NDT, or related technical field.
  • Valid RT / RPP / MT certification (as applicable).
Experience
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an RT / RPP / MT Technician.
  • Experience in oil & gas, industrial, or inspection projects.
  • Experience in ARAMCO & Non-ARAMCO projects preferred.
Technical & Other Skills
  • Strong knowledge of RT, RPP, and MT inspection techniques.
  • Familiarity with international inspection codes and standards.
  • Ability to interpret NDT results and prepare professional reports.
  • Good computer skills (MS Office, reporting tools).
  • Good command of English (reading, writing, and communication).
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
