Job Description: Project Manager (SAP S/4HANA Implementation)
Job Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the day‑to‑day delivery of assigned workstreams within the SAP S/4HANA implementation program. This role ensures that project activities are executed according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards while aligning with overall program objectives.

The Project Manager will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, SAP consultants, technical teams, and the Program Management Office (PMO). This includes managing workstream execution, risks, dependencies, change requests, and ensuring timely delivery of milestones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and manage the detailed project plan for assigned workstreams, ensuring alignment with program-level timelines.
  • Lead daily/weekly workstream stand-ups and progress reviews, ensuring clear ownership of deliverables.
  • Track and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating to the Program Director/PMO as required.
  • Monitor and control scope, cost, and schedule, raising change requests where necessary.
  • Ensure deliverables are completed in accordance with SAP Activate methodology and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical leads on requirements, configuration, integration, and testing activities.
  • Coordinate with data migration, security, and infrastructure teams for cross-cutting dependencies.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, providing timely and transparent communication on progress and challenges.
  • Support program governance forums, preparing dashboards, reports, and presentations for steering committees.
  • Ensure testing cycles (SIT, UAT, regression) are executed smoothly, with issues tracked and resolved.
  • Participate in cutover planning, execution, and hypercare, ensuring readiness of systems, teams, and processes.
  • Foster a collaborative environment between stakeholders, SAP consultants, and delivery teams.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent) required.
  • SAP Activate Project Manager certification preferred.
  • ITIL or equivalent service management certification desirable.
Experience
  • 10–12 years of overall IT project management experience, with at least 5+ years in SAP implementation projects.
  • Experience managing end-to-end SAP S/4HANA or ECC rollout/upgrade projects.
  • Proven track record of managing cross‑functional teams (functional, technical, data, testing, and integration).
  • Experience in scope control, change management, and vendor coordination.
  • Familiarity with public sector or large enterprise transformation programs in KSA/GCC is highly desirable.
Technical & Functional Skills
  • Good understanding of SAP S/4HANA modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, HCM, Procurement, Analytics).
  • Knowledge of SAP project lifecycles (Activate methodology).
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and collaboration tools (Teams, Jira, Confluence, etc.).
  • Familiarity with integration (SAP PI/CPI, APIs), data migration tools, and testing frameworks.
  • Ability to manage project financials (budget tracking, effort variance, invoicing support).
Soft Skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills across technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making ability under pressure.
  • Customer‑focused mindset with sensitivity to cultural context in KSA.
