Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field is required.
• Fluency in English required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
• Experience in a library setting preferred.
• Familiarity with the Dewey Decimal System preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons with finding materials and information on library resources.
• Organise and maintain library collection using the Dewey Decimal System.
• Process new materials and input them into the library catalog system.
• Manage circulation of materials, including check-outs, returns, and renewals.
• Develop and implement library programs and activities for all age groups.
• Collaborate with other librarians to enhance library services and collections.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as budgeting, ordering supplies, and creating reports.
