Job summary

Red Sea Global is seeking a Manager – Operations Risk to consolidate risks from subsidiaries to the operations level and to develop dashboards and risk registers for various assets and activities. You will lead risk framework implementation, coordinate with corporate and project risk teams, and guide risk owners to ensure effective risk treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
• Seven to ten years of Enterprise Risk Management and/or Risk-based Internal Audit experience.
• Three years of experience with a consulting firm (EY, Deloitte, PwC…).
• Experience with Enterprise Risk Management frameworks (ISO 31000 or COSO ERM).
• Certification in Risk Management or Risk Assurance from a well-renowned international body (IRM, IIA).

Responsibilities

• Participate in setting the goals, initiatives and plans and monitor their execution.
• Manage day-to-day activities and operations, including implementation of policies and procedures and improvements.
• Assist in budgeting and manage financial and human resource requirements and develop staff.
• Support developing and maintaining risk management policy, processes and procedures aligned with ISO 31000.
• Roll-out approved implementation plans for Operations after sign-off.
• Oversee the implementation of approved mitigations and provide an aggregated view of operational risks.
• Develop systemic Operations risk profile and act as ORP Secretariat.
• Review operational assets risks and ensure consolidation at enterprise level.

Job Purpose:

This role aims to ensure adequate integration and consolidation of the risks from the operational subsidiaries and enablers level up to the operations systemic level. The Manager – Operations Risk is responsible for developing dashboards and risk registers for a) subsidiaries, operational assets, activities, and operational enablers, including hospitality and non-hospitality activities; and b) Operations Risk Profile.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in setting the goals, initiatives & plans and monitor their execution;
• Manage day-to-day activities & operations, including implementation of all policies & procedures and recommend potential improvements where appropriate;
• Assist in the development and management of financial and human resource requirements (annual budget); and Manage, guide & support employees in the execution of their work and develop them to improve performance.
• Support developing and maintaining Operations Risk Management policy, Processes & Procedures in alignment with the ISO 31000 framework, and ensure integration & alignment between the operational verticals;
• Roll-out upon gaining the approval of the Associate Operations Risk Director the approved implementation plan for Operations;
• Oversee the implementation of the approved mitigation plans;
• Provide an aggregated view of risks related to overall Operations Mega Processes;
• Develop systemic Operations risk profile; and assume the role of Operations Risk Panel (ORP) Secretariate.
• Review all the operational assets risks identified and ensure all material risks are properly consolidated at the operations systemic level and escalated to the Associate Operations Risk Director;
• Engage Corporate, Projects Delivery and Development risk teams to ensure proper and effective transfer of risks across the value chain risk owners;
• Engage the Operations teams in discussions regarding events that could lead to potential losses or missed opportunities;
• Run and facilitate the operations risk assessment workshops/meetings;
• Facilitate the development of the risk treatment plans with the risk owners.
• Review the consolidated operations risk treatment strategies and identify improvement areas that could be adopted at the enterprise level to better utilize company resources.
• Prepare risk dashboards and reports;
• Monitor compliance and effectiveness of the RM processes & procedures within RSG Operations and report on results; and
• Monitor implementation timeliness and effectiveness of the consolidated Operational risk treatment Plans and strategy.
• Develop and deliver training materials to the Risk Champions to raise RM awareness;
• Recommend to the Associate Operations Risk Director the awareness messages (i.e., emails, brochures, screen savers, etc.) to be delivered to the business; and
• Share knowledge of risk practices and best practices with the ERM function.

Job Requirements:
