Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed lifting plans, risk assessments, and method statements for all heavy lift and rigging activities.
  • Review engineering drawings to determine load weights, lift points, and equipment requirements.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate cranes, lifting gear, and rigging equipment based on project needs.
  • Oversee on-site heavy lifting operations to ensure safe and efficient execution.
  • Conduct inspections of rigging equipment and ensure certification and maintenance records are up to date.
  • Provide technical guidance to construction teams and subcontractors on rigging and lifting best practices.
  • Coordinate with HSE teams to ensure full compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Monitor lifting activities to identify hazards and implement corrective actions when required.
  • Support incident investigations related to lifting or rigging operations.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant technical discipline (preferred).
  • Experience in rigging and heavy lifting on large-scale industrial, oil & gas, or EPC projects.
  • Certification as a Rigging Supervisor, Appointed Person, or Lift Planner (e.g., LEEA, NCCCO, CITB).
  • Strong knowledge of cranes, lifting tools, rigging gear, and associated standards.
  • Proven experience in planning and executing critical lifts.
  • Familiarity with HSE requirements and lifting‑related safety regulations.
