A leading energy firm in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Foreman to oversee field operations in well completion. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 10 years of experience in high-pressure wells. **SMP Opportunity in Oil and Gas Company**
Job Purpose:
The incumbent supervises field operations of land and/or offshore well completion sites, either contractor- or company-owned, engaged in carrying out programmed work on deep or otherwise critical wells. The position has direct field responsibility for the drilling, completion, or workover of wells located anywhere within the company’s operational areas, both onshore and offshore, as specified in the well drilling or workover program.
Such wells may be exploratory or developmental in nature and may involve high-pressure, sour gas, or highly deviated wells, as well as wells exceeding 15,000 feet in depth or costing over $10,000,000. The Foreman ensures the safety of rig crews and contracted service personnel (up to 100 individuals) and is directly responsible for the protection of company assets and drilling equipment valued in millions of dollars.
Additional responsibilities include fiscal accountability for company-owned equipment and materials, effective communication with Operations headquarters, and logistical coordination of transportation, materials, well services, water support, and location support.
Key Responsibilities:
a. Perform unit-level supervisory functions at well locations remote from Operations headquarters on a 24-hour basis, following a 14 days on / 7 days off work schedule.
b. Direct all well operations efficiently, safely, and according to approved well completion programs and established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
c. Coordinate the timely ordering of required well materials, equipment, and services in accordance with the well program. Document the receipt, usage, and transfer of company-supplied materials and equipment. Review service company field tickets for accuracy of services rendered and associated charges.
d. Ensure full compliance with company Blowout Prevention (BOP) Standards, including equipment configuration, testing, and crew response. Maintain adherence to all established safety standards and procedures.
e. On contracted sites, ensure compliance with all contractual terms, conditions, and specifications related to personnel and equipment.
f. Submit complete and accurate daily progress reports to Operations headquarters as required.
g. Promote cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiency while maintaining safety and performance standards to achieve well objectives.
h. Provide on-the-job training, mentoring, and technical guidance to less experienced personnel assigned to the site.
