Job description
Overview

A Snapshot of Your Day Responsible for the repair lifecycle from proposal generation till delivery and completion of the project. He/she is the first point of contact for the sales team when services are required from the service center and serves as the client’s direct point of contact while repairs are ongoing at the service center. Works alongside the sales team, the shop supervisor and operations manager and the shopfloor team in the repair of critical equipment.

How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Assist with and support the various safety projects and initiatives within the Service Center; safety is very important to our team - it is everyone’s duty to work safely, report any unsafe conditions or suggestions for improvement to shop leadership.
  • Review clients request for quotations “RFQ” and provide comments as necessary and estimate hours and cost then and create inspection offers
  • Review bills of materials and manufacturing drawings to compile the list of replacement parts and define the repair scope for individual components
  • Estimate / obtain the cost of the repairs / replacement parts, coordinate with factory and suppliers (internal / external) to get the support needed to complete the repair project
  • Prepare and coordinate the delivery of the project documentation and progress reports for internal and external customers.
  • Manage the Inspection & repair scope, schedule, and cost of the projects in execution. Closely monitor ongoing job-costs to ensure close adherence to budget.
  • Serve as clients’ direct point of contact at the service center. Interpret customer maintenance and/or repair specifications to technical personnel for repair and maintenance of equipment. Align with client and internal quality standards.
  • Support shop personnel in execution of inspection and repair activities, by providing concise and descriptive work instructions to the shop floor for execution, referencing all appropriate repair and factory technical specifications.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is required as a minimum
  • A minimum of 3 years’ related experience actively working with projects is required; experience working in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred; Project Management certification is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with rotating and/or reciprocating equipment repairs (e.g. steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, power turbines, reciprocating compressors, turbochargers, valves, and/or dry gas seals) is preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook. Also having the ability to interpret shop instructions and manufacturing drawings is required.
  • Must adapt to fast-paced environment, and occasional overtime work may be needed to support client outages.
  • Experience working in an organization with a strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Quality. Strong work ethic, pursuing excellence, and a high-quality standard.
