Job Overview
The Repair & Maintenance (R&M) Supervisor - Tubular Running Services oversees the efficient and safe operation of the ISDT Workshop. The role ensures all TRS equipment is maintained to the highest standards, manages a skilled team of technicians, and delivers high-quality service that meets operational and client requirements. By implementing rigorous safety protocols, quality control measures, and continuous improvement initiatives, the R&M Supervisor plays a critical role in optimizing workshop performance and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day workshop and R&M operations. To Follow the R&M KPI daily.
- Lead, mentor, and manage technicians and support staff.
- Ensure all team members adhere to safety standards, company policies, and operational procedures.
- Plan and prioritize workshop activities to ensure timely and efficient service execution.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels for tools, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure all TRS equipment is properly maintained, serviced, inspected, and documented.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to meet company standards and client expectations.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and performance checks to identify improvement areas.
- Manage equipment receiving, logging serial/asset numbers, unloading items, and identifying 3rd-party rental equipment for timely return.
- Ensure all equipment cycle processes are logged accurately into MyAdvisor/PFT.
- Lead stripping, cleaning, assembling, and testing of TRS equipment as per manuals and SRP.
- Prepare equipment load-outs and organize kitting of baskets and containers, ensuring safe securing of all equipment.
- Move equipment using forklift, overhead crane, or company vehicle as required.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by line management in a safe and competent manner.
- Provide continuous training and development to workshop staff.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and integrate new technologies and practices.
Skills
- Experience in TRS technology in general.
- Strong technical knowledge of TRS/R&M equipment, tools, and operational procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for operational management and reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles relevant to TRS, drilling, and intervention systems.
- Solid understanding of inventory control, workflow management, and quality assurance.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems and mathematical concepts.
- Extensive knowledge of downhole operations, tools, and equipment.
- Fluent in English.
- Flexibility to work long and/or irregular hours, including being on 24-hour call.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a Repair & Maintenance workshop environment within the oil & gas industry, preferably in TRS.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the oil and gas industry, preferably in TRS operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in workshop operations and equipment maintenance.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in mechanic or electrician.
