The Regional Supply Chain Strengthening Coordinator position is focused on strengthening our Country Office Supply Chain function through a continuous improvement approach; ensuring that our processes are efficient, and we are providing effective and quality support in a timely way to meet the needs of our project participants and create lasting change.

Key End Results

The Regional Supply Chain Strengthening Coordinator alongside the RSCS is expected to build strong relationships with the Supply Chain Teams in Countries built on foundations of trust and quality technical support.

Responsibilities
  • Supply Chain Strengthening: This position will have technical autonomy to advise, facilitate improvement processes, and propose solutions in coordination with RSCS. They may lead strengthening actions directly in countries when formally delegated to by the RSCS.
  • Regional Engagement: Supports RSCS to plan and deliver quarterly Community of Practice meetings for peer exchange and sharing of best practices as well as Regional Supply Chain Workshops (virtual or face to face) to enhance engagement, collaboration and foster a strong understanding of the strategic direction and vision for Global Supply Chain within the regional context. Contributes to enhanced understanding of good supply chain practice at senior levels in Regional Hub and Country offices.
  • Driving Continuous Learning – Delivery of training / technical support: Ensures compliance with our Supply Chain Operations Manual and supports ERP system use through training and 1:1 support as needed. Collaborates with country offices to identify training needs related to supply chain processes and the utilization of SAP Materials Management (MM) and Power BI. Supports the coordination of training schedules and logistics. Delivers and supports the development of engaging and effective training sessions (both in-person and virtual) on standard supply chain processes, SAP MM module functionalities (focusing on end‑user tasks), and the interpretation and use of standard Power BI reports. Adapts training materials to the specific needs of the audience. Contributes to the development and maintenance of user‑friendly training materials, quick reference guides and FAQs related to SAP MM and Power BI for supply chain processes. Assists country offices in understanding the importance of data quality within SAP MM and Power BI. Guides users on correct data entry practices and the potential impact of data inaccuracies on reporting. Provides feedback and insights based on user interactions and training sessions to contribute to the continuous improvement of training materials, support processes and the overall user experience with SAP MM and Power BI. Conducts socialisation sessions (webinars and face‑to‑face training) on new processes, templates and tools.
  • ERP and system support: Drives full adoption and proper utilisation of our SAP ERP system to improve data quality, provide increased visibility and underpin data‑driven decision making. Acts as regional Supply Chain SME for SAP ERP system. In collaboration with the Global Fleet Team, supports the Country Offices in the proper use of the Fleet Management system (Tracpoint). Serves as the initial point of contact for country office supply chain staff regarding SAP Materials Management (MM) module inquiries and issues. Assists with basic user, role and approval management tasks within SAP MM and related systems, following established protocols and policies. Provides first‑line support to country office users on accessing, understanding and utilising standard Power BI supply chain reports. This involves clarifying report content, assisting with basic filtering and navigation, and guiding users on how to extract relevant information for decision‑making.
Individual Requirements
  • Expert knowledge of supply chain management and significant experience in humanitarian or development contexts, preferably with International NGOs.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, approaches, tools, methodologies, and organisational learning, that is up to date with best practices in the sector.
  • Strong understanding of the realities of (I)NGO supply chain and limitations that impact project implementation, financial control, monitoring, reporting, evaluation and learning.
  • Understanding of critical supply chain components around procurement planning, sourcing, buying and fleet management.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (specifically SAP Materials Management (MM) module), fleet management systems (e.g., TracPoint) and Power BI with a focus on user adoption and data quality. Experience with user support, basic troubleshooting, and guiding effective utilisation for data‑driven decisions.
  • Ability and experience to deliver engaging training (virtual/in‑person) on business processes, SAP MM, and Power BI.
  • Direct experience working with multicultural and multi‑sector teams in at least two different countries.
