Job summary

A leading heavy industry company in Jubail, Saudi Arabia is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor. The ideal candidate will manage costs and contracts for metallurgy projects, ensuring accurate financial advice and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities include cost estimation, contract management, and collaboration with stakeholders. A relevant degree and experience in heavy industry are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in heavy industry or metallurgy.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction contracts and relevant legislation.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates and budgets.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess project progress.
  • Analyze contractor bids and provide recommendations.
  • Manage contracts including negotiation and administration.
  • Monitor expenditures and report on financial performance.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare progress claims and variations for clients.
