Job description
Purpose:

To support quality assurance functions across incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities for Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) components and assemblies in Alhkorayef Potrolum. This role will also monitor and manage calibration of inspection and measuring equipment to ensure compliance with internal and industry quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspection of raw materials and machined components upon receipt.
  • Review and verify documentation including material test certificates (MTCs), certificates of conformity (CoCs), and inspection reports.
  • Conduct in-process inspections during machining and assembly to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Inspect critical features such as impeller/diffuser clearances, stack lengths, rotor fits, keyways, and other tolerance-critical areas.
  • Validate and record results of first article inspections (FAI) as per control plans.
  • Support assembly and test operations by inspecting sub-assemblies and final ESP pump assemblies.
  • Review and verify cleanliness, marking, and serialization of components prior to final release.
  • Final inspect completed units and ensure conformance to inspection and test plans (ITPs).
  • Identify and report non-conformances, and assist in root cause investigation and containment actions.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure traceability of all inspected items.
  • Monitor calibration due dates for inspection, measuring, and test equipment (IMTE).
  • Coordinate internal or external calibration activities and ensure updated calibration certificates are available.
  • Verify measuring tools are within calibration before use and properly stored after use.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing inspection records, calibration data, and traceability documents.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 2–5 years of experience in a quality inspection role within ESP manufacturing or similar rotating equipment industry.
  • Proficient in using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and thread gauges.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 9001, API Q1, and relevant oil & gas manufacturing standards.
  • Familiarity with calibration systems and measurement traceability.
  • Professional English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good understanding of ISO9001 QMS requirements and implementations.
  • Computer literacy is required.
  • Familiar with Non Destructive Equipment/Testing (NDE/NDT) is a plus.
