Job summary

A leading beverage company in Jeddah seeks a Quality Control Technician to ensure compliance with production specifications and food safety standards. Responsibilities include operating machinery, conducting tests, and maintaining quality records. Ideal candidates should have a B.S. degree in a relevant field and at least 2 years of experience in quality control, preferably in the food industry.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years as Quality Control Technician, preferably in CSD or food industry.
  • Ability to conduct physio-chemical tests and adhere to quality systems.

Responsibilities

  • Operate DBC machines & coordinate with various departments.
  • Ensure correct materials are used in beverage production.
  • Calibrate tools & maintain records.

Skills

Good communication skills in English
Computer literate (Words and Excel)

Job description
Role Description
  1. Operate DBC (Deaerator, Blender Carbonator, Paramix) machine & coordinate with SR, WTP, QA and Production for the accurate & timely execution of work.
  2. To ensure that correct materials are used in the making of beverage.
  3. To check process conditions & to conduct physio-chemical tests on the process materials & on the finished product using approved procedures at required frequencies.
  4. To see to it that the beverage produced complies with specifications.
  5. To report any abnormality of process equipment.
  6. To calibrate tools & equipment.
  7. Maintain records.
  8. To inspect & see to it that the workplace in his designated scope of assignment is clean & in hygienic condition.
  9. Responsible for ensuring all products produced are within specification (Right First Time – RFT).
  10. Implement Quality Systems.
  11. Implement Food Safety (FSSC 22000, HACCP)
  12. Ensure that SASO and SFDA guidelines are properly adhered.
  13. Assists in troubleshooting
  14. Assists in product development and innovation.
  15. Ensure to abide with company HSE procedures.
  16. Report HSE related incidents (Near-Miss).
  17. Cross functional role (QA Technician, Microbiologists, WTP Technician).
  18. Other work-related activities as required by his superiors.
Qualifications
  • B.S. Degree in Food Tech, Chemist or Chemical Engineering, or any science related course.
  • At least 2-years as Quality Control Technician post preferably in CSD business or in a food industry
  • A computer literate at least in Words and Excel.
  • Good communication skills in English, Arabic and added advantage
