Job description
Job Purpose

The Quality Officer is responsible for ensuring that all distribution, warehousing and logistics operations comply with internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Identifies process gaps, drives corrective & preventive actions, and helps maintain customer satisfaction and product integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the company’s quality and distribution process capabilities against internal standards, industry benchmarks, and regulatory expectations.
  • Maintain cold-chain / temperature-controlled facility quality: monitor temperature excursions, validate cold-chain processes, ensure storage/transport conditions.
  • Manage product quality holds and field actions (e.g., returns, non-conformances) arising from distribution or warehousing activities.
  • Conduct internal audits of warehouse and logistics operations as per the approved audit plan; identify non-conformances and initiate CAPA.
  • Maintain documentation related to quality systems: QMS records, change control, document management, training records.
  • Liaise with external laboratories (if applicable) for product testing and quality assurance where in-house facilities are not available.
  • Prepare periodic reports for management on quality metrics, trends, corrective actions, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support regulatory inspections (e.g., health authority, municipality) and ensure compliance to all relevant standards and licenses.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes aligned with the company’s values of integrity, agility, performance and collaboration.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of quality assurance / quality control experience in warehousing, distribution or logistics (FMCG preferred).
  • Familiarity with quality systems, internal audits, document control, and cold-chain logistics.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 / relevant quality standards, and preferably GMP / HACCP principles for food distribution.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
