Job description

Apt Resources is looking for a dedicated QHSE Officer to join our client’s team in the Facilities and Construction Industry.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring that quality, health, safety, and environmental practices are implemented and adhered to across all projects. Your expertise will contribute to the overall safety culture within the organization, advocating for compliance with local laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of QHSE policies and updates.
  • Ensure quality and safety standards are followed in all contracted works.
  • Maintain safety plans, SOPs, and QHSE reporting systems.
  • Conduct or support risk assessments (including COSHH) and safe work methods.
  • Prepare monthly reports and provide input for contract reviews.
  • Act as the main contact for health, safety, and environmental matters.
  • Advise teams and management on standards, best practices, and improvements.
  • Work with managers, clients, and staff to promote a culture of safety and wellbeing.
  • Lead or support investigations of incidents, hazards, and ensure corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on legislation and industry best practices.
  • Perform site inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Support new contracts and mobilizations with QHSE requirements.
  • Promote safe working practices and risk control methods.
  • Deliver safety and IOSH training as required.

Salary: 10,000-15,000 AED plus accommodation, and other benefits as per UAE labor law.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in QHSE roles within the construction or facilities management sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of QHSE legislation, standards, and best practices.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor are highly desirable.
  • Proficient in incident reporting and data analysis to drive improvements.
  • Candidate must be currently in UAE.
  • Must have valid UAE Driving License.
