Job description

Our Client is seeking an experienced QC Welding Inspector to join their Team on a major industrial project in Saudi Arabia. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all welding activities are performed in strict compliance with approved procedures, international codes, and project quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect welding activities to ensure compliance with WPS, PQR, and project specifications
• Verify welder qualifications and welding consumables prior to execution
• Monitor fit-up, welding, and post-weld activities in line with applicable codes and standards
• Review and validate welding documentation, inspection reports, and quality records
• Coordinate with construction, QC, and subcontractor teams to resolve welding-related issues
• Witness NDT activities and review results with authorized personnel
• Identify non-conformities and support corrective/preventive actions
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements and enforce HSE rules during inspections

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in welding inspection within Oil & Gas or industrial projects
• Valid welding inspection certification (CSWIP, AWS-CWI, or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of international welding codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ISO, etc.)
• Experience in multicultural, site-based environments
• Solid understanding of QA/QC documentation and inspection processes
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-driven mindset
• Ability to work independently under demanding site conditions
• Clear reporting and documentation skills
• Effective communication and coordination abilities
