Working as a Purchasing Manager Medical Consumables entails ensuring the availability of high-quality medical products at optimal cost and maintaining strong supplier relations to support operational excellence across the organization.

Key Accountabilities

The position involves :

Managing the full procurement cycle for medical consumables, from sourcing to delivery.

Identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Monitoring inventory levels and forecasting needs in coordination with warehouse and operations teams.

Ensuring all purchases comply with company policies, quality standards, and healthcare regulations.

Developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships, tracking vendor performance, and identifying improvement opportunities.

Conducting market analysis to source alternative suppliers and drive cost optimization.

Reviewing and approving purchase orders, contracts, and supply agreements.

Preparing periodic procurement reports and presentations for top management.

Collaborating closely with finance and other departments to ensure budget alignment and accurate documentation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We Are Looking For :

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA is a plus).

3–5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing within the medical or healthcare sector, with proven exposure to consumables and supplier networks.

Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills, with a strategic and analytical mindset.

Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office applications, and procurement reporting tools.

Thorough understanding of procurement policies, asset management systems, and relevant ISO standards.

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
