About the Project
A digital platform similar to "HungerStation" or "Careem NOW," but specialized in fresh agricultural products and their derivatives (vegetables, fruits, herbs, dates, honey, dairy products, etc.). It aims to connect farmers / traders directly with consumers (individuals or businesses) through a system for recommendations, ordering, and on-demand or scheduled delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all stages of the platform's development and operation.
- Manage the supplier onboarding process (farmers, food producers) and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Build user journeys (ordering, cancellation, delivery, payment, rating).
- Manage an on-ground operations team for product collection and delivery.
- Coordinate with the technical team to ensure the app is ready and the order system is accurate.
- Analyze daily data and make decisions to improve delivery times, reduce waste, and increase customer satisfaction.
- Handle challenges related to the sensitivity of agricultural products (such as spoilage, quality variation, seasonal availability).
- Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers and customers to build sustainable relationships.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in managing operational projects or on-demand ordering and delivery platforms.
- Solid understanding of customer behavior on instant-order platforms.
- Knowledge of agricultural supply chains, seasonal cycles, and product sensitivity.
- Ability to manage relationships with farmers, traders, and end users.
- Good understanding of on-demand delivery technologies and automated matching models.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams: operations, support, tech, and quality.
- Strong analytical and leadership skills with the ability to make real-time decisions.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience
Previous experience managing a delivery or e-commerce platform.
Preference for candidates with experience in the food or fresh produce sector.
Skills
- Knowledge of ERP or supply chain management systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in data analysis and project management tools.
- Excellent communication skills with different groups (farmers, customers, drivers).
