A leading energy technology firm in Medina Province is seeking an experienced Project Manager for HVDC projects. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of electrical contracting experience and a strong ability to lead teams and manage project risks effectively. The opportunity
We are convinced that HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) technology, solutions for energy transfer with direct current at high voltages, is a long-term sustainable solution. The technology is used for energy transmission over long distances and to connect electricity networks with minimal losses. In addition to energy transfer, HVDC technology also alleviates electricity quality problems and can contribute to the stabilization of connected power grids for offshore wind power or long-distance underwater transmissions, direct current is the only realistic energy transmission alternative.
How you’ll make an impact
Leads the project team allocated to the project, defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks, and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones.
Provides performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects.
Defines, jointly with the Project Controls department, all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule and risk management plans.
Ensures that the project follows execution best practices of policies.
Effectively monitors and controls project progress and efficient resource utilization. Monitors and controls project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow. Identifies, qualifies, quantifies and manages project risks, and ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued.
Captures, analyses and shares lessons learned throughout the project.
Ensure that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed. Drives the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer.
Ensures that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with policies and contractual agreements. Coordinates with Supply Chain Management, and successfully procures required services, materials and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers. Support Supply Chain Management in supplier negotiations, claims and project changes.
Acts as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders.
Ensures the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
10+ years of HVDC PM and Electrical contracting experience.
Excellent organizational and co-ordination skills with the ability to prioritize and manage peaks in workload.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with employees and customers in a professional manner, both in person and via telephone, and a strong focus on managing customer relationships.
Good knowledge of Project scheduling, planning, estimation, procurement & cost control.
Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment.
Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability and maturity
Ability to prioritize among competing tasks.
Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to delegate to as well as motivate a team, in executing tasks to deadline.
Previous experience in critical infrastructure is also a major plus.
Knowledge of the fundamentals of control & protection systems.
An ability to self-motivate, work under pressure and on your own initiative and as part of a team.
Clean full driving license. Team Building Skills.
Security clearance to comply with BS7858:2019.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
