About the Role
Project Manager – Mechanical Engineering & Design Systems (Technical)
Brief Role Summary

The Project Manager (ME & DS – Technical) will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to mechanical engineering, design, and system integration within the Land Systems / RSLF 4x4 Core Team program. The role ensures alignment between engineering design, production, and project execution to meet defense project requirements and timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage projects related to mechanical and design system engineering for land vehicle platforms (e.g., 4x4, combat, or support vehicles).
  • Coordinate between design, production, and quality teams to ensure technical requirements are met.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables in alignment with SAMI / RSLF standards.
  • Support design validation, system integration, and technical documentation processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and defense stakeholders for technical reviews and approvals.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with defense and safety regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in Defense or Land Systems industry (vehicle or turret domain preferred).
  • Proven track record in project management within mechanical or design engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of design systems, integration, and defense manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Certifications
  • PMP / PRINCE2
  • Defense or military project management certifications (optional but advantageous)
  • Six Sigma or Lean certification (preferred)
