Job summary

A safety management company in Riyadh is seeking an experienced professional for the OSH department. The role involves monitoring safety performance, ensuring compliance with civil defense regulations, and training staff on emergency procedures. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of OSH laws, and the ability to make decisions under pressure. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the OSH department required.
  • Must have knowledge of current laws and regulations regarding OSH.
  • Demonstrate calmness in decision-making during emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor OH&S performance and prepare monthly safety reports.
  • Ensure compliance with civil defense regulations.
  • Train workforce on emergency procedures.
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings and inspections.

Skills

8-10 Years’ experience in OSH department
Knowledge of update law and regulation for OSH
Ability to stay calm and make the right decisions in adverse conditions

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Monitor the OH&S performance of Site staff and presenting the monthly safety performance monitoring report to OH&S department.
  • Comply with civil defense code of practice for construction.
  • Evaluate all fire appliances regarding fire prevention and to follow the civil defense requirements.
  • Review the emergency evacuation plan and posted at visible place as per civil defense requirements.
  • Ensure implementation of fire prevention plan and train to work force in case of emergency, how they can act.
  • Ensure to minimize exposure of chemical substances and reduce environmental impact at work place.
  • Suspend all unsafe hazardous activity if do not meet under OH&S standard and regulation, best practices.
  • Continuous monitoring of compliance with OH&S regulations, and issue safety and environmental violation notices as needed.
  • Ensure Fire precautions are implemented and understood by all staff at all levels.
  • Ensure Hazards from use of noxious substance, or exposure to noise, vibration, dust or fumes is preferably eliminated or minimized to the lowest practical level.
  • Attend weekly progress meeting.
  • The authority to stop any aspect of the work that is not in compliance with the OH&S Manual.
  • Prepare project’s OH&S Weekly Report in client provided format and submitted to all concern.
  • Ensure subcontractor receive project updated OH&S plan and aware OH&S responsibility
  • Conduct weekly OH&S meetings with the subcontractors
  • Conduct daily safety walkthrough with subcontractors to cover every zone at least once a week.
  • Review submitted daily reports from safety engineers, find the repeated violations and generation alternative solutions.
  • Maintaining record of conducting safety programs.
  • Coordinate joint inspections with client/consultant/ civil defense officials/representative
