Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of chemical plant operation and key unit operations function. Taking process & operational information from other disciplines, production and maintenance for appropriate sizing and selection of equipment.
  • Generate the design philosophies for the instrument system, develop and approve termination schedules and cable routing designs. Preparing instrumentation datasheets for purchase.
  • Develop E&I basic engineering deliverables to support concept development including design calculations and E&I equipment specifications. Develop scope document for EI contracting.
  • Carry out technical clarification with potential vendors and contractors for purchase and installation of EI facilities.
  • Preparing technical bid evaluation and recommendation for award for EI equipment and/or installation activities. Supervision of vendors/contractor during site work.
  • Approves design and equipment selection that comply with HAC requirement. Ensuring that electrical equipment is suitable for the specified zone.
  • Review fire & gas engineering design drawings.
