Eram Talent is actively seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Project Engineer (EPC) to join our team for a prominent company within the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing projects through all phases of the EPC process. This role will involve ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities
1. Technology and Engineering Management
  • 1.1 Assist the Project Manager in reviewing project basic engineering design documents, ensuring full compliance with Saudi Aramco design standards (e.g., SAES, SAMSS, SABP) and project specifications.
  • 1.2 Coordinate design work across various disciplines (Process, Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, etc.), chair or participate in key technical coordination meetings, and resolve interface conflicts and technical challenges during the design phase.
  • 1.3 Manage the flow, approval, and archiving of project technical documents, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all engineering deliverables.
  • 1.4 Lead or participate in the technical evaluation of Technical Queries (TQs), Material Substitution Requests (SRM), and Change Requests (CRs), and follow up on the Saudi Aramco approval process.
2. Procurement and Supplier Coordination
  • 2.1 Provide technical support to assist in the preparation of procurement technical specifications for key equipment and materials.
  • 2.2 Participate in the technical bid evaluation of key suppliers.
  • 2.3 Review technical documents submitted by suppliers (such as drawings, data sheets, calculation reports, ITP), ensuring they meet project requirements.
  • 2.4 Coordinate the resolution of any technical issues arising during equipment manufacturing.
3. Construction and Pre-Commissioning Support
  • 3.1 Provide comprehensive technical support to field construction, resolving technical challenges encountered during construction.
  • 3.2 Review the technical feasibility of Construction Method Statements.
  • 3.3 Manage engineering changes within the project scope, assess the impact of changes on cost, schedule, and technology, and strictly adhere to the change management process.
  • 3.4 Participate in onsite system Mechanical Completion checks, ensuring installation work conforms to design intent and specifications.
  • 3.5 Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities by providing necessary technical documents and guidance.
4. Planning, Scheduling, and Reporting
  • 4.1 Assist the Project Manager in developing and controlling the project's engineering schedule.
  • 4.2 Prepare and submit weekly/monthly engineering technical progress reports to the Project Manager and the client (Saudi Aramco).
  • 4.3 Identify and assess project technical risks and propose mitigation measures.
5. Compliance and Standards
  • 5.1 Ensure all engineering activities strictly comply with Saudi Aramco's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • 5.2 Ensure the entire project process conforms to Saudi Aramco's Quality Management System requirements.
6. Communication and Coordination
  • 6.1 Act as one of the primary points of contact for daily technical communication with the client's (Saudi Aramco) engineers.
  • 6.2 Effectively coordinate work between the internal design team, procurement team, construction team, and subcontractors.
Requirements
1. Education and Professional Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, majoring in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Possession of PMP (Project Management Professional), Chartered Engineer, or equivalent certification is preferred.
2. Work Experience
  • 2.1 Minimum 8-10 years of project engineering experience in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry, including at least 5 years in a Project Engineer or similar technical coordination role on large-scale Saudi Aramco petrochemical EPC projects.
  • In-depth understanding and practical experience with Saudi Aramco standards, processes, and culture are required.
  • 2.2 Project experience in oil-gas separation, production enhancement, gathering and distribution stations, or similar upstream/midstream facilities is preferred.
3. Knowledge and Skills
  • 3.1 Proficiency in at least one core engineering discipline (e.g., Process, Piping, or Mechanical) and familiarity with the fundamentals of other related disciplines.
  • 3.2 Thorough understanding of the project lifecycle, from conceptual design to mechanical completion and commissioning.
  • 3.3 Familiarity with international engineering standards (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI, IEC) and Saudi Aramco-specific standards.
  • 3.4 Proficient in MS Office (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • 3.5 Proficient in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6 or MS Project).
  • 3.6 Familiarity with common engineering design software and document management systems (e.g., SPF, Aconex).
  • 3.7 Fluent in both English and Arabic, with both languages serving as working languages.
