JOB OVERVIEW

Full responsibility for organizing, directing and managing the production departments within the company to manufacture the defined product mix, meet quality standards and achieve cost targets.

Reporting to: Technical Director

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maximize production and efficiency
• Responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations within Hot End, Cold End, Batch Plant and Sizing departments
• Own all aspects of production management including Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Waste and Cost
• Analyze and evaluate the quality and cost effectiveness of production methods and techniques utilized and manpower allocation
• Recruit, develop, and challenge a highly motivated, technically competent, and loyal team that can deliver results and grow into additional responsibility and leadership in the organization
• Assure that training plans are in place and utilized for all departmental employees to assure the safe and proper production of materials
• Develop and manage departmental budgets and meets financial, quality and safety goals
• Identify cost savings opportunities and investments to improve return on investment

QUALIFICATIONS

• 15-20 years of successful production experience with increasing management responsibility
• At least 5 years experience working in Glass Fiber Production and glass fiber manufacturing
• Has sound overview of glass fiber business, end uses, applications, costing and economics
• Glass Fiber Engineering – has knowledge of engineering aspects of glass fiber manufacturing
• University level Bachelor’s Degree required in Engineering or Science
