Job description

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Lead and supervise all fabrication and manufacturing operations within the plant.
  • Direct, coach, and develop the team of Manufacturing Engineers to ensure effective planning and execution of production activities.
  • Drive adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards across all manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor daily production activities, ensuring on-time delivery of projects to meet customer requirements.
  • Review engineering drawings, manufacturing plans, and fabrication schedules for feasibility and alignment with resources.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure timely availability of raw materials, consumables, and equipment.
  • Work closely with Quality Control to address non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
  • Optimize production processes through lean manufacturing practices, waste reduction, and productivity improvements.
  • Develop and track KPIs for production efficiency, rework rates, safety performance, and on-time delivery.
  • Ensure capacity planning and workforce allocation match project pipeline and deadlines.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on manufacturing performance to the Operations Director.
  • Lead initiatives for training and upskilling shop personnel to strengthen technical capabilities.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability within the plant.
Qualifications, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/industrial engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 15–20 years of experience in fabrication/manufacturing, with at least 10 years in a managerial role within heavy fabrication, oil & gas, or industrial equipment manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of welding, fabrication, machining, and assembly processes.
  • Experience with project-based manufacturing aligned to international and Aramco standards.
  • Proven ability to lead engineers and shop teams effectively.
  • Strong Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools.
  • Strong understanding of safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
