Job summary

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Review and plan material against demand using MRP/MPS functionalities in the ERP system.
  • Prepare and place purchase orders for direct materials, both finished goods and components.
  • Prepare and place purchase orders for indirect materials like consumables, tools, etc.
  • Follow-up on order acknowledgement from suppliers and expedite orders for early delivery.
  • Ensure proper data maintenance in the ERP system (Nav).
  • Liaise and follow up with vendors on material non-conformities till claim is closed.
  • Manage contracts and purchase agreements with vendors ensuring the right quality specification, negotiated prices and optimum delivery time.
  • Monitor supplier performance based on designed criteria ensuring best practice.
  • Work against key performance indicators to enhance performance and delivery of department objectives.
  • Participate in Lean manufacturing projects aimed to reduce cost and business waste.
Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of ERP / MRP systems (business solution systems for material requirement and capacity planning).
  • Basic understanding of INCO-terms and import / export processes.
  • Fresh graduate with supply chain management background or maximum two years of experience.
  • Proficient in computer skills, MS Office software.
  • Good English speaking and writing.
  • Persistent and accountable on delegated tasks.
  • Strong team player.
