Qualifications

  • 8–18 years of experience in procurement within construction or infrastructure projects, preferably in KSA.
  • Experience in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Hand Over phases of mega projects.

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of materials, equipment, and services essential for project execution. The role ensures timely availability of resources, compliance with technical specifications, and adherence to budgetary constraints. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of construction materials, excellent negotiation skills, and proven experience in managing procurement for large-scale projects.

Your role
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project schedules and budgets.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for construction materials, equipment, and services.
  • Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
  • Review technical specifications to confirm compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with site engineers and project teams to forecast material requirements.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and manage contract terms effectively.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate logistics for site deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and generate periodic reports.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, legal, and environmental regulations in procurement activities.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to material quality, quantity, or delivery timelines.
About you
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (or internationally recognized equivalent).
  • 8–18 years of experience in procurement within construction or infrastructure projects, preferably in KSA.
  • Experience in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Hand Over (EPCC) phases of mega projects.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment specifications, and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain management and logistics.
Other Skills
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Strong analytical and cost-control abilities.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Certifications (Preferred)
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management or Procurement (e.g., CIPS).
  • Safety and compliance training relevant to construction projects.
