Summary
Responsible for designing and governing the hospital’s enterprise data ecosystem to support high-quality clinical care, research excellence, and operational efficiency. Ensures that data is well-structured, interoperable, accessible, secure, and actionable, while leading the development of data models, integration frameworks, and governance structures that enable seamless interoperability, advanced analytics, and informed decision-making across all levels of the hospital.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Defines and maintains the hospital’s enterprise data architecture roadmap, principles, and standards.
 
- Converts business and clinical requirements into scalable data models, pipelines, and services.
 
- Aligns data architecture with the broader enterprise architecture framework and technology roadmap.
 
- Defines, develops, and implements logical and physical data models for clinical systems (e.g., EHR, EMR), enterprise resource planning(ERP) system, research registries, and auxiliary applications.
 
- Designs and supports the implementation of data flows, integration strategies, and data governance frameworks across clinical, operational, administrative systems, data hub(s), warehouse(s), data lake(s), and data marts to support BI, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives.
 
- Drives optimization of schemas and designs, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability.
 
- Architects ETL/ELT processes, APIs, streaming, real/near/batch pipelines to consolidate data from disparate sources in hybrid architectures.
 
- Works closely with compliance and Data Management Office(DMO) to ensure PDPL/SDAIA adherence and data security best practices.
 
- Supports the design and tuning of databases, big-data platforms, and cloud data services to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
 
- Collaborates with infrastructure teams to define capacity planning, disaster recovery, and backup strategies for enterprise data assets.
 
- Mentors and guides data engineers, analysts, and other technical team members on best practices and architecture standards.
 
- Advises on emerging data technologies (data mesh, graph databases, real-time analytics, AI/ML platforms) and evaluate their applicability.
 
- Follows all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures.
 
- Participates in self and others' education, training and development, as applicable.
 
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
 
Education
Master’s or Bachelor's Degreein Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or any other related fieldis required.
Experience Required
Nine (9) years ofrelated experience with Master’s, or eleven (11) years with Bachelor’s Degree.
Other Requirements (Certificates)
Professional certifications in enterprise or solution architecture (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate) is preferred.
