About the job Pricing Analyst - Freight Forwarding & Trucking

Our Tier 1 client is a leading logistics and transportation provider in Saudi Arabia, they deliver integrated freight forwarding and trucking solutions across key trade lanes. With a strong presence in the GCC region and a growing portfolio of strategic clients, the company supports a wide range of industries with multimodal transport, warehousing, and supply chain solutions.

As part of their continued growth and commercial optimisation strategy, they are seeking a skilled Pricing Analyst to join their team in Dammam. This role is instrumental in driving pricing accuracy, commercial competitiveness, and profitable deal structuring across air, sea, and road freight services. It offers significant exposure to sales strategy, market intelligence, and commercial operations in a dynamic and competitive logistics landscape.

  • Develop and maintain pricing models for freight forwarding and trucking services
  • Prepare and validate quotations, RFQs, and contract pricing in line with margin thresholds
  • Conduct margin analysis, cost build-ups, and profitability reviews for customer deals
  • Ensure alignment with internal pricing policies and commercial governance
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance to deliver timely and accurate pricing
  • Support commercial negotiations with structured pricing insights and margin scenarios
  • Review non-standard pricing requests and advise management on risk and opportunity
  • Track competitor pricing, market rates, and subcontractor trends across transport modes
  • Analyse fuel price movements and their impact on trucking and freight costs
  • Provide ongoing pricing reports and benchmarking analysis to support strategic decisions

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor quotation turnaround times, win rates, and pricing success ratios
  • Report on pricing compliance, margin performance, and profitability variances
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting with accurate pricing analytics

System & Process Management

  • Maintain and update pricing data in ERP and CRM platforms
  • Ensure pricing templates, rate cards, and cost databases are accurate and current
  • Support automation initiatives to streamline pricing workflows and reporting

🔹 Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3–6 years’ pricing experience in freight forwarding and/or trucking operations
  • In-depth understanding of logistics cost structures, carrier rates, and subcontractor pricing
  • Proven experience using ERP/CRM systems; strong command of pricing tools and databases
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including cost modelling and scenario analysis
  • Exposure to the GCC/Saudi logistics market and regional rate structures
  • Experience with tender pricing and large-scale logistics contract negotiations
  • Knowledge of multimodal freight pricing (air, sea, road, warehousing)
  • Familiarity with Incoterms and global freight trade lanes
