Responsibilities

• Conduct condition assessments of power transformers, auxiliary transformers and shunt reactors.
• Inspect transformer components, including bushings, OLTC, cooling systems, conservators, protection systems, earthing and accessories.
• Review and interpret diagnostic tests, including DGA, oil analysis, SFRA/FRA, winding resistance, turns ratio, tan-delta, capacitance and partial discharge (PD).
• Evaluate thermography results, temperature trends, loading conditions and cooling performance.
• Identify equipment defects, deterioration, failure modes and potential operational risks.
• Assess asset health, remaining useful life and maintenance requirements.
• Recommend repair, refurbishment, replacement and reliability improvement strategies.
• Prepare detailed technical assessment reports and provide recommendations based on diagnostic findings.

The role involves interpreting diagnostic test results, identifying potential failure risks, evaluating equipment life expectancy and recommending maintenance, refurbishment or replacement strategies to ensure reliability and operational efficiency.

• Inspect transformer components, including bushings, OLTC, cooling systems, conservators, protection systems, earthing and accessories.

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 12+ years of experience in power transformer and reactor inspection, diagnostics or condition assessment.
• Strong expertise in power transformers, shunt reactors, DGA, oil diagnostics, OLTC and transformer bushings.
• Hands-on experience interpreting SFRA/FRA, PD and other transformer diagnostic test results.
• Knowledge of transformer failure mechanisms, asset-health assessment and remaining-life evaluation.
• Experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), condition monitoring and technical reporting.
• Transformer OEM diagnostic training or DGA/Oil Analysis certification is preferred.
• CMRP certification will be an added advantage.
