Could you be the full-time onsite Power Supply Lead Engineer in AlUla, Saudi Arabia we’re looking for?

Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering and project management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of transportation by performing the basic and detailed power supply engineering activities of a traction project (metro, tramway, or mainline). Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including civil and MEP partners/contractors), manage all the Power Supply interfaces with local utility, and much more."

We’ll look to you for:

  • Lead MV/LV Traction Engineering: Ensure project implementation aligns with Design for Quality standards; propose solutions for performance and reliability.
  • Perform Engineering Activities: Handle basic and detailed engineering for HV, MV, LV power supply and DC traction systems.
  • Develop Technical Documentation: Prepare electrical architectures, technical, functional, and interface specifications; conduct clause-by-clause reviews and gap analysis.
  • Prepare Calculation Notes: Short circuit, cable sizing, power balance, power factor study, UPS and battery sizing, earthing, protection coordination, MCB coordination, and basic structural calculations.
  • Manage Interfaces: Identify and manage interfaces between power supply subsystems and other project subsystems.
  • Allocate Requirements: Perform transverse requirement allocations in collaboration with specialists; develop requirements from standards, certifications, safety, and customer specifications.
  • Supplier Coordination: Work closely with DC traction equipment suppliers; define architecture, operational modes, and functionalities; write subsystem specifications.
  • Provide Project Support: Deliver method statements, testing procedures, and training as required.
  • Procurement & Validation: Write technical purchasing specifications, evaluate supplier offers, validate documents, define standards, and participate in factory acceptance tests.
  • Verification & Validation (V&V): Define and execute verification strategies with engineering, certification, and validation teams.
  • Site Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve technical issues at site, implement modifications, and ensure problem closure.
  • Provide technical support to Construction and Testing & Commissioning teams; participate in site testing and commissioning when required.
  • Perform project-level KPI reporting and métier-level reporting (via weekly reports).
  • Support the PrEM in implementing and updating engineering risk mitigation plans, managing change orders, optimizing QCD, and participating in design reviews.

Coordinate and manage interfaces with:

  • Regional and central engineering teams/experts
  • Other subsystems (Systems, RAMS, EMC, Procurement, Civil Works, etc.)
  • Customer representatives
  • Project management team
  • Suppliers, subcontractors, and partners
