Postdoctoral Researcher in Computer Vision and Geospatial Analytics

Responsibilities
- Be unemployed for the duration of the fellowship.
- Have completed at least a M. Sc. degree (or a doctoral degree within the last five years) in Physical, Atmospheric, Computer Science, Civil or Electrical Engineering or related fields with considerable programming experience in AI, ML, data engineering, applied mathematics and statistics.
- Have demonstrable research proficiency based on the scientific method, meaning you can define research questions, formulate hypotheses, and develop innovative solutions using cutting‑edge technologies.
- Be familiar with state‑of‑the‑art programming (Python, C++, Java, etc.) and computer engineering practices as well as data science and machine learning methods, including their implementation. Experience with deep learning, transformer models, and computational mathematics will be advantageous.
- Be familiar with climate research.
