Job Title: Port Captain – Jack-Up Fleet
Location: Offshore, Saudi Arabia

Job Purpose

The Port Captain provides marine operational oversight and technical support for a fleet of self‑propelled jack‑up units. The role supports offshore bridge officers, ensures safe and compliant operations, and upholds the highest marine standards across rig moves, positioning, audits, and certification management. The position is key to maintaining operational readiness, safety excellence, and efficient coordination between shore‑based teams and offshore units.

Key Accountabilities
  • Support offshore bridge officers with marine operations including rig moves, positioning, location assessments, and logistics.
  • Promote and mentor a strong safety culture across the fleet.
  • Ensure any operational deficiencies are promptly addressed, rectified, and reported as required.
  • Maintain all vessel and barge certifications, ensuring documents remain current and compliant.
  • Assist technical teams with coordinating third‑party vendors for offshore activities.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to all applicable marine operational procedures and safety programmes.
  • Conduct quarterly vessel audits and participate in on‑hire surveys when required.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day activities that enhance the safety, reliability, and efficiency of jack‑up fleet operations.
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of sea‑service experience as Master on self‑propelled jack‑up barges.
  • Valid Certificate of Competency (COC) and STCW certification.
  • University degree in Marine or Maritime Studies (or equivalent).
