The project:
This opportunity is to be involved in a major mixed-use development, in Riyadh. The programme consists of over 200 projects including cultural and heritage assets, F&B, retail and hotels, commercial buildings, and educational facilities.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Reporting to Commercial Director to lead commercial team on delivering the programme commercial management and cost reporting framework.
- Mature and enhance cost & commercial reporting process including requirements, cadence, and formats across budget management, cost planning & benchmarking, monthly cost reporting, contract status reporting (including procurement).
- Manage senior stakeholders (including c-suite and executive director level) to ensure the successful delivery of the Cost & Commercial function.
- Support in the roll out of the new systems, processes & reports, including implementation of the programme cost management system, specifying & developing cost reports & dashboard.
- Manage quality assurance/control process for the Cost & Commercial information.
- Oversee service excellence across all aspects of PMO Commercial reporting.
- Manage the performance of the Commercial team.
- Manage and support Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS).
- Coordinate the commercial process with other functional leads.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
- Coordinate with PMO functions around contractual deliverables, centralise the commercial effort to ensure the contractual commitments are delivered.
- Oversight and governance responsibilities of cost and commercial management including cost planning and benchmarking, cost reporting, cashflow reporting, procurement and contract reporting, claims reporting.
- Together with the Commercial Director, manage the Mace contract with the Client to ensure compliance with the provisions of the contract and protect Mace’s entitlements.
You’ll need to have:
- Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and relevant work experience working on high valued projects/ programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
- Over 15 years of relevant experience and a pertinent degree, with commitment to personal development and either hold a chartered status or be working towards a comparable professional qualification.
- Outstanding data management abilities, especially in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables and a solid understanding of PowerBI; cost reporting tools are highly desirable.
- Experience in a Project Management Office (PMO); in-country experience is preferred to effectively address the client’s specific criteria.
- Excellent presentation and meeting management capabilities, including the ability to present to the client’s C-Suite and CEO, delivering critical insights and assisting the client in framing and making decisions.
- Digital proficiency, capability to foster enduring client relationships, and providing support to dynamic, motivated teams. Background in construction or project management and a strong desire to advance your career while taking advantage of the opportunities that Mace presents.
