Our client is a well-reputed O&M provider in the Power generation sector. We are seeking a Plant General Manager to oversee the overall operations, management, and performance of the power plant. This role demands a high level of expertise in cogeneration systems, operational excellence, and leadership. The GM is responsible for ensuring optimal performance, safety, regulatory compliance, and financial efficiency of the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee daily operations of the cogeneration power plant to ensure efficiency, reliability, and safety.
2. Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures.
3. Ensure adherence to operational schedules, maintenance plans, and safety protocols.
4. Optimize plant performance through continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Lead, mentor, and develop plant staff, including operations, maintenance, and administrative teams.
6. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
7. Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to staff.
8. Develop and manage the plant’s budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
9. Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
10. Oversee the maintenance program to ensure high reliability and availability of plant equipment.
11. Implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
12. Coordinate major repairs, shutdowns, and upgrades.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field) is required.
• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in power plant operations, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• In-depth knowledge of cogeneration systems, power generation processes, and plant equipment.
• Proficiency in maintenance management systems and plant operation software.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and safety standards in the power generation industry.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages is an asset.
