Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning & Scheduling:
    • Work with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to gather inputs for the project schedule.
    • Define project milestones and deliverables in line with project requirements.
    • Track and report project progress, highlighting potential delays or critical path issues.
    • Resource Management:
      • Develop and manage resource‑loaded schedules, ensuring the appropriate allocation of manpower, equipment, and materials.
      • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources needed for the execution of the project.
      • Oversee the efficient use of resources to avoid bottlenecks and project delays.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks to the schedule, including resource shortages, environmental factors, or supply chain disruptions.
    • Develop and implement mitigation plans to address project risks.
  • Communication & Coordination:
    • Provide regular project status updates to the Project Manager and senior leadership.
    • Facilitate communication between the planning team, project stakeholders, and site teams to ensure alignment and timely resolution of any issues.
    • Participate in regular planning meetings with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Prepare detailed progress reports and presentations, including Earned Value Management (EVM), progress against milestones, and critical path analysis.
    • Perform schedule analysis to determine any deviations from the baseline and recommend corrective actions.
  • Construction and Commissioning Support:
    • Support construction and commissioning activities, ensuring that all schedules align with the overall project timeline.
    • Manage changes to the schedule, ensuring proper documentation and impact analysis.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Ensure that all project activities are carried out in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and local regulations.
    • Promote and ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations on site.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. PMP, AACE, or planning certifications are a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Experience in project planning and scheduling within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on large‑scale construction projects.
    • Extensive knowledge of project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.
    • Experience in managing schedules for both construction and commissioning phases.
  • Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (or similar scheduling tools).
    • Strong knowledge of project planning methodologies, including critical path analysis and resource leveling.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems and manage multiple priorities.
