Job summary

A leading construction firm in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Planning Engineer to develop and maintain project schedules. You’ll collaborate with project managers and teams to ensure efficient project execution. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, at least 5 years of planning experience, and is proficient in Primavera P6 and Excel. This role plays a critical part in delivering successful projects on time and within budget.

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

As a Planning Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure timely and efficient execution. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to track progress, analyze delays, and recommend corrective actions. Your contributions will help drive smooth project delivery, cost control, and overall project success.

Key Accountabilities
  • Prepare, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 in alignment with project scope and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress against baseline schedules and identify delays or variances.
  • Conduct delay analysis and propose corrective and recovery actions to keep the project on track.
  • Coordinate regularly with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to gather progress data.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, S-curves, manpower histograms, and productivity updates for management review.
  • Assist in planning resources, work sequencing, and project execution strategies.
  • Support claims and extension of time (EOT) submissions whenever required.
  • Ensure project documentation, schedules, and updates are maintained accurately and professionally.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of planning experience in construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, and project control reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of project planning principles, WBS, and progress measurement systems.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
