Job summary

A construction firm in Riyadh seeks an experienced Planning Engineer to manage project schedules and deliver insightful reports. Salary: 6500 SAR

We are looking for a skilled Planning Engineer to support the successful execution of our projects by developing comprehensive schedules, monitoring progress, and generating insightful reports. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project and experienced in creating interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. The role requires close coordination with site and technical teams to ensure timely delivery and project efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and adjust schedules based on site performance and resource availability.
  • Create Power BI dashboards and visual reports to present progress, KPIs, and project insights to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with site, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather updates and forecast project timelines.
  • Identify critical path activities, risks, and delays, and propose mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Support in preparing progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and delay analysis when required.
  • Ensure compliance with planning standards and company project control procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Industrial, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in construction, infrastructure, or related industries.
  • Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Hands-on experience in Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Solid understanding of project planning principles, critical path analysis, and project lifecycle.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and team coordination skills.

Preferred:

  • PMP or PMI-SP certification is an advantage.
  • Previous experience with large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
