Job summary

A global logistics company in Jeddah is seeking a Customer Advocate to manage assigned customers, ensuring smooth delivery and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include resolving issues, managing invoices, and improving interactions. Ideal candidates will be proactive in enhancing processes and possess a strong understanding of customer service. This position may require overtime and occasional travel for meetings.

  • Be the owner of all customer issues and engage stakeholders.
  • Responsible for hub related invoices creation and dispatch.
  • Manage and improve day-to-day customer interactions.

  • Understand claims policy and guide customers through claims.
  • Engage customers about new business opportunities.
  • Seek out continuous improvement opportunities.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Act as contact point for assigned customers and be their advocate internally within Maersk.
  • Ensure smooth execution of the end-to-end shipment lifecycle, engaging both the customer and relevant internal stakeholders
  • Be the owner of all customer issues and engage relevant stakeholders as required to facilitate timely and effective solutions
  • Responsible for creation of hub related invoices, its dispatch and assist finance in follow up of outstanding charges.
  • Manage / improve day to day process interaction with customers
  • Be fully responsible for customer satisfaction
  • Understand claims policy and its impact on company assets and guide customers best possible through any potential claim situation
  • Commercial intelligence: engage customers in discussions about new business opportunities and competitor/market intelligence
  • In general, actively seek out and act on continuous improvement opportunities both in relation to customers and internal / external stakeholders
  • Always behave in a manner consistent with and loyal to the A.P. Moller – Maersk values.
Operations
  • Create the daily deliveries and orders.
  • Ensure that daily transactions are closed on-time (GR, GN, etc.) and no pending or open transactions.
  • Work closely with WMS support team in solving system errors.
  • Work closely with IT team to troubleshoot network problem or failures.
  • Responsible for the stock inventory accuracy and managing the daily cycle counts and monthly wall-to-wall counts.
Customer Services
  • Prepare all the required reports as per Customer and Maersk requirements.
  • Extract operational KPI’s
  • Manage the monthly score card
  • Jobholder should expect to carry out his/her duties even beyond the Office working hours.
  • To ensure the business continuity, Weekends/Holidays duties will be assigned to Jobholder based on the business needs and workload management.
  • When required and based on management decision, Jobholder should expect travelling to Jeddah head office for meeting or trainings.
