We are looking for a House Manager / Chief of Staff that will oversee the daily operations of a high-profile royal household, ensuring seamless organisation, exceptional service standards and complete discretion. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong leadership, multitasking and communication skills. The position combines household management, administrative coordination and staff leadership to ensure smooth functioning of all domestic and lifestyle needs.

Key Responsibilities
Household Management
  • Supervise and schedule household cleaning staff.
  • Maintain organisation of storage areas, closets and communal spaces.
  • Monitor and restock household supplies (toiletries, cleaning products, paper goods, etc.).
Food & Kitchen Support
  • Manage grocery shopping or coordinate grocery deliveries.
  • Stock and maintain pantry and refrigerator according to family preferences.
  • Assist with meal preparation or coordinate with the household chef/cook.
  • Organise kitchen inventory, monitor food expiration and ensure cleanliness.
  • Plan weekly menus as requested.
  • Set and clear dining tables; oversee dishwashing and cleanup.
  • Coordinate occasional catering and dinner party preparations.
Scheduling & Coordination
  • Manage the family calendar, including appointments, travel and events.
  • Book medical, groomingand beauty appointments.
  • Arrange and confirm home maintenance and service appointments.
  • Plan and manage travel logistics (flights, hotels, transportation, itineraries).
  • Track and remind employer of important dates (birthdays, anniversaries, payments).
Administrative & Errand Support
  • Handle errands (post office, pharmacy, deliveries, returns).
  • Maintain filing systems for receipts, invoices and household documents.
  • Support budgeting, expense tracking and petty cash management.
  • Prepare reports and assist with administrative tasks.
  • Liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • Maintain an updated household inventory and asset register.
Pet Care
  • Oversee feeding, walking, grooming, and general pet care.
  • Schedule and accompany pets to veterinary appointments.
  • Order pet food and supplies as needed.
Childcare Support (as required)
  • Provide occasional babysitting or supervision in emergencies.
Property Oversight
  • Ensure household systems and appliances function properly.
  • Report and coordinate maintenance or repair needs.
  • Supervise contractors during repairs, deliveries, or installations.
  • Prepare guest accommodations and maintain readiness for visitors.
  • Manage seasonal household tasks (holiday décor, pool maintenance, etc.).
Special Requests & Personal Support
  • Handle gift sourcing, shopping, and wrapping.
  • Organise family events and celebrations.
  • Provide styling or wardrobe management support.
  • Manage online purchases, returns and exchanges.
  • Support personal or social media initiatives (if required).
  • Provide house‐sitting or pet‐sitting services during travel.
Staff Management & Recruitment
  • Assess staffing needs and draft job descriptions.
  • Lead recruitment efforts including interviews, reference checks and onboarding.
  • Train and supervise domestic staff, ensuring smooth team operations.
  • Maintain staff schedules, attendance, and leave records.
  • Address performance or interpersonal issues professionally.
  • Coordinate payroll processes with accountant or payroll services.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and discretion.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
