Job Title: Pediatric Ophthalmology Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Pediatric Ophthalmology Consultant to join our esteemed healthcare team. As a key leader in the Pediatric Ophthalmology Department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and managing eye conditions in children, performing specialized procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Your expertise will be pivotal in improving visual health outcomes and supporting multidisciplinary collaboration.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality ophthalmic care to pediatric patients.
  • Offer consultative services as requested by other departments.
  • Perform specialized ophthalmic procedures and surgeries as privileged.
  • Supervise fellows, assistant physicians, and residents.
  • Actively participate in training and teaching of residents and fellows in your area of expertise.
  • Engage in research activities to advance pediatric ophthalmology.
  • Participate in hospital committees and administrative functions as needed.
  • Adhere to all hospital-related policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:

Education

  • Graduate from a recognized medical school.
  • Completion of required training in Ophthalmology and Pediatric Ophthalmology subspecialty.
  • Saudi, American, or European Board Certification (or equivalent).
  • Membership and/or Fellowship in recognized international bodies.
  • Certification recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties is mandatory.
  • Dataflow verification is required.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 3-4 years post Board/Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology.
  • Registered member of the Saudi Board Council.

Language

  • Proficiency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.

References
