Job summary

A leading equipment distributor in Al Khobar is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to work on a mobile power project. The role involves reading engineering drawings, installing meters, and performing electrical control wiring with a focus on minimal rework. Candidates should possess a trade certificate in Electrical and Electronics with at least 5 years of relevant experience. A light vehicle driving license and physical fitness are required. Mandatory safety certificates are also necessary.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of similar experience is necessary.
• Experience on mobile power plant will be given preference.
• Light Vehicle Driving License is required.

Responsibilities

• Reading engineering drawings.
• Installing meters and doing electrical control wiring.
• Testing of starters and tracing out short circuits.
• Disassembling defective electrical equipment and replacing parts.
• Assisting in performing generator load tests.

Job description

SDEC is inviting applications from candidates who have experience working with all of the electrical circuits and electronic components of diesel genset package. The candidates are expected to work in a project for a mobile power project under the supervision of a project supervisor.

In this job, a person is expected to fulfil the following responsibilities:

• Reading the engineering drawings
• Snipping & Crimping wires
• Terminating wires as per technical drawings/diagrams
• Avoid rework to the extent possible
• Installing meters and CT
• Doing electrical control wiring
• Wiring VFD, Soft Starter
• DOL, Star Delta wiring
• Testing of Starters
• Check and confirm that all electrical and electronic controls function as per OEM specifications and engineering drawings
• Modify alternator wiring based on required voltage and frequency
• Use different metering equipment in quick and reliable fault diagnosis
• Trace out short circuits using appropriate instruments
• Examine electrical circuitry for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections, using hand tools
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order
• Disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace defective or worn parts, and reassemble equipment, using hand tools
• Perform semi-skilled and unskilled tasks related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of Electrical & Electronic control and protection systems
• To assist in performing generator load tests.

We are looking for:

• Trade certificate in Electrical and Electronics.
• At least 5 years of similar experience is necessary.
• Candidates with experience on mobile power plant will be given preference.
• Light Vehicle Driving License.
• Physically fit.
