Job Description - Payroll Team Leader (00133169)

· Support the run of the payroll monthly on time and support any issues assoisated. This incorporates statutory and legislatory reporting and administration on SAP, generating payment files to the Bank and performing the monthly reconciliation and maintenance of key financial controls. Provide support to both internal and external audit on payroll. Ensure a high level of accuracy and great attention to detail in this business critical role.

· Undertake the financial accounting transactions in accordance with the finance policies, processes and procedures as well as the commercial and statutory requirements of the business e.g. the timely payment of employees. Provision of financial transaction processing that is accurate, efficient and in accordance with the financial control requirements

Responsibilities

· Maintaining financial controls which are applicable to the processes being transacted

· Providing support to internal customers in the application of the established policies, processes and procedures.

· Provision of data integrity and liaise with other functions and BAE Systems businesses to achieve streamlined integrated processes which meet overall business objectives.

· Assisting with the development of financial controls and continuous improvement initiatives

· perform six different types of payroll and involve to resolve any payroll system/technical/accounting issues though SAP.

· Knweldge on the below programs to generate WPS Payroll files, sign-off sheets, E-Payslips, and other business process and resolve any issues related to payroll with theses programas.

· Support and involve on the implementation of different systematic projects related to payroll

· Work very closely with DXE to support any test needed on CET SAP.

· Manage, train and develop payroll function with the techincial and systematic knowledge.

· Lead the delivery of the statutory requirements of GOSI / Tax / NI administration including both Monthly and Annual Returns as a backup if needed.

· Responsibility for the timely and accurate completion and review of Payroll General Ledger Control Accounts in accordance with the FPM.

· Co-ordinate with the HR team and other departments to identify errors in the payroll inputs and ensure corrective action is taken as well as how to avoid future similar errors

· Provide assistance and support to Internal / External Audit to ensure payroll processes and procedures comply with the FPM and FCF.

· Provide assistance and support to KPMG / EY during times of statutory audits and DZIT field audits.

· Interface with external agencies and internal functions to ensure the management and delivery of payroll responsibilities.

· Coordinate with UK team for UK Shares, Pension and Dividend payments for nay related payments/recoveriesC

· Process/reconcile the IntSIP returned payment for the terminated employees

· Support on any accounting treatment needed impacted by transformation such as backdated charges and I/C payment.

· Support management and cost base team for any breakdown needed and justification for payroll cost that is a charge back to the projects

· Update our SAP System according to UK Tax requirements on yearly basis in March and perform some testing in CET for any changes required.

· Yearly update Payroll time table and Currencies Direct, UK/KSA, and BAE Australian payroll forecasting.

· Maintaining the financial ledgers in accordance with the business policies, processes and procedures.

· Reconciliation of the general ledger accounts on a monthly basis as required Support any ad hoc queries or issues related to payroll.

· Propose, agree and implement new process for improvement opportunities and solutions with the Finance Manager

· Update all work instruction regularly to enlign with the current process and to avoid any single point of failure.

Job Requirements

· The role would typically require a degree in Accounting or Socpa membership.

· Minimum of 4 years of Finance Payroll experience

· Lead a team and plan workload and activities to cover for absences

· Has a good understanding of Accounting concepts and procedures

· Their level of proficiency enables them to apply their skills and knowledge and ensure essential procedures and controls are followed

· Strong SAP knowledge and experience or any relative ERP system.

· The role requires attention to detail in making evaluative judgements based on analysis of factual information

· The role has an impact on the business through providing value added services that are important to thje financial integrity of the business

· The role requires strong communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence and convince others.

· The role requires a well knowledge of payroll feed and regulations.
