Planning & Preparation
  • Understand the overhaul process and the roles of involved supporting function, and develop RACI chart.
  • Develop and maintain overhaul schedules aligned with fleet maintenance plans, fleet availability, and lifecycle requirements.
  • In collaboration with support functions, lead defining scope, the requirements, resources, documentations and procedures, materials, overhaul kits, and timelines for each overhaul campaign.
  • Ensure workshop readiness including tooling, equipment, layout, and safety compliance for in‑house overhauls
Coordination
  • Lead with internal project departments: Engineering, Industrial, Supply Chain, sourcing, Quality, Finance, and Maintenance teams, provide your necessary inputs, and integrate their output and requirements.
  • Liaise with Alstom offshore Component Repair & Overhaul centers when required.
  • Coordinate with OEMs and external suppliers for parts, technical support, and warranty claims.
  • Interface with client representatives to align on scope, timelines, and reporting.
  • Build and develop a team of overhaul technicians, manage their competences and assessment
  • Provide training and guidance on overhaul procedures and safety practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
Execution & Oversight
  • Lead and program the execution of overhaul activities across all train components (bogies, wheels, HVAC, traction, brakes, doors, etc.).
  • Monitor progress, quality, and safety during overhaul operations.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all activities including traceability, configuration, inspection records, and test results related to overhauls.
  • Define performance KPIs and ensure smart and accurate reporting to management.
  • Supporting the team in the redaction of documents
Quality & Compliance
  • Align with Alstom DFQ Overhauls process, milestones and provide necessary inputs and feedback
  • Ensure all overhaul activities comply with Alstom’s quality standards, safety regulations, Special Processes, and contractual obligations.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for any non‑conformities.
  • Support audits and inspections from internal and external parties.
  • Strong knowledge of rolling stock systems and overhaul processes.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficient in technical documentation, reporting, and problem‑solving
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English; (French and/or Arabic is a plus)
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor/diploma’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in rolling stock maintenance, with at least 3 years in overhaul leadership.
  • Experience with Alstom trains or similar OEMs is highly preferred.
