Job summary

CoorB is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator with 5+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience. The role focuses on managing, maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing Oracle databases to ensure high availability, disaster recovery, security, and performance across development, test, UAT and production environments.

You will implement and manage Data Guard, perform switchover/failover, monitor health, and perform RMAN backups.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Oracle Database Administration experience.
• Strong experience with Oracle Database 11g, 12c, 19c, or later.
• Hands-on expertise with Oracle Data Guard configuration, administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle RMAN backup and recovery.
• Experience with Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management).
• Good understanding of Oracle RAC environments.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
• Experience in database performance tuning and optimization.
• Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) is preferred.
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Shell scripting experience for database automation.
• Understanding of database security best practices and user administration.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, patch and maintain Oracle Database environments.
• Administer Oracle databases across Development, Test, UAT and Production environments.
• Implement, configure and manage Oracle Data Guard Physical and Logical Standby.
• Perform Data Guard switchover and failover activities and validate disaster recovery readiness.
• Monitor database health, performance, storage and availability.
• Perform database backup and recovery using RMAN.
• Tune database performance by analyzing SQL execution plans and indexing strategies.
• Troubleshoot database issues related to performance, availability, replication and storage.
• Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations and patch management.
• Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell scripting, SQL or PL/SQL.
• Support high availability solutions and ensure compliance with standards.
• Work with application teams, infrastructure, and vendors to resolve database issues.
• Maintain database documentation, runbooks and procedures.
