Main tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Operate, monitor, and control all stages of the water treatment process, including intake, filtration, chemical dosing, disinfection, and distribution, ensuring compliance with water quality standards. Monitor key plant parameters (pressure, flow, turbidity, pH, conductivity, chlorine residual, etc.) and adjust processes to maintain optimal performance. Operate pumps, valves, motors, and SCADA systems, and conduct routine inspections and operational rounds.
Collect and analyze water samples, record results, and prepare daily operational reports. Perform preventive maintenance, assist in repairs, and coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams as needed. Safely handle and dose treatment chemicals while maintaining compliance with HSE and environmental regulations.
Report equipment failures or process deviations promptly, and participate in safety meetings, drills, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce energy and chemical consumption. Support and train junior operators, ensure clear shift handovers, and follow instructions from the direct supervisor at all times.
Qualifications: Diploma degree in Mechanical or equivalent
Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in the same field
